The Method Seven Aviatrix SKY30 combines a smaller titanium aviator frame with lighter blue mineral glass lenses engineered for pilots who prefer more available daylight. With 30% visible light transmission (VLT), SKY30 is well suited to aircraft with darker interiors, shaded instrument panels, and changing daylight conditions where a lighter sunglass tint is preferred. Developed by M7 Labs in Santa Cruz, California, SKY lens technology uses proprietary notch filtering to selectively manage portions of visible light while maintaining useful brightness. The result is enhanced color balance and contrast that helps pilots distinguish details in clouds, terrain, and flight instruments without relying on an excessively dark tint. Blue mineral glass provides excellent optical clarity, scratch resistance, full UV protection, and infrared filtering to reduce unwanted heat. A blue flash mirror finish and anti reflective coating help manage sunlight and distracting reflections. Nonpolarized lenses help pilots read electronic flight displays, GPS units, and tablets without polarization interference or distracting patterns through aircraft windows. Developed with input from women pilots, the Aviatrix features a softly rounded silhouette, brushed gold titanium frame, and smaller, narrower proportions that suit pilots of any gender. The hand-tooled frame weighs 26.5 grams with SKY glass lenses. Slim, low profile temples fit comfortably beneath aviation headsets and flight helmets, helping preserve headset ear seals and noise attenuation while reducing audio leakage, pinching, and pressure during extended flights. Tangle free nose pads help prevent hair from catching when sunglasses are pushed onto the head. Each pad offers two reversible thicknesses for small adjustments to the fit across the nose bridge. The serial numbered frame features drop ball tested lenses and a 6 base decentered lens curve. Frame measurements: 57-15-140 mm; lens height: 40 mm. Includes a microfiber cleaning pouch and protective hard case that folds flat for storage in a flight bag or headset case.
