The Method Seven Aviatrix SKY18 brings advanced aviation optics to a smaller, lightweight titanium aviator frame. Developed with input from women pilots, its softly rounded silhouette, brushed gold finish, and narrower proportions offer a comfortable fit for pilots of any gender. The classic design combines understated styling with practical features engineered for flying. Nonpolarized SKY18 blue mineral glass lenses provide 18% visible light transmission (VLT), a versatile medium tint for most daylight flying conditions, from clear skies to mixed cloud cover. Developed by M7 Labs in Santa Cruz, California, SKY technology uses proprietary notch filtering to balance colors, enhance contrast, and reveal details in clouds, terrain, and flight instruments. Blue mineral glass offers excellent optical clarity, scratch resistance, full UV protection, and infrared filtering to reduce unwanted heat. A blue flash mirror finish and anti reflective coating help manage harsh sunlight and distracting reflections. Unlike polarized sunglasses, SKY lenses help pilots view electronic flight displays, GPS units, and tablets without polarization interference or distracting patterns through aircraft windows. The hand-tooled titanium frame weighs just 26.5 grams with SKY glass lenses. Slim, low profile temples fit comfortably beneath aviation headsets and flight helmets, helping preserve headset ear seals and noise attenuation while reducing audio leakage, pinching, and pressure during extended flights. Tangle free nose pads help prevent hair from catching when sunglasses are pushed onto the head. Each pad features two thicknesses and can be reversed for small adjustments to how the frame rests on the bridge of the nose. Designed for pilots who value optical clarity, comfort, and a smaller frame, the Aviatrix SKY18 features drop ball tested lenses and a 6 base decentered lens curve. Frame measurements: 57-15-140 mm; lens height: 40 mm. Includes a microfiber cleaning pouch and protective hard case that folds flat for storage in a flight bag or headset case.
