The Method Seven Interceptor MACH combines a stealth, nonmirrored appearance with an exceptionally thin, flexible frame engineered for aviation. Inspired by fighter aircraft, its aerodynamic black TR90 design accommodates a variety of face shapes and sizes while providing comfort beneath aviation headsets and flight helmets. Ultra thin, low profile temples help maintain headset ear seals and audio quality, reducing pinching, pressure, and hot spots during long flights. Constructed from durable TR90 thermoplastic, the Interceptor is lightweight, flexible, and resistant to corrosion and everyday wear. The temples measure less than 1 mm at their thinnest point, allowing them to fit comfortably beneath headsets without creating unnecessary pressure. Rubberized nose pads provide grip to help minimize slipping during aerobatics and high G maneuvers. The streamlined frame offers a secure fit without bulky temple construction. Nonpolarized MACH polycarbonate lenses feature a black viewing tint for daylight flying conditions. Unlike Method Seven's blue mirrored FLT lenses, MACH lenses feature a discreet black appearance without an exterior flash mirror coating. Developed by M7 Labs in Santa Cruz, California, proprietary notch filtering enhances contrast and helps pilots distinguish clouds, terrain, and flight instruments while maintaining balanced color perception. Anti reflective coatings on both sides of the lenses help minimize distracting reflections, while full UV protection shields eyes from ultraviolet radiation. MACH lenses manage glare without polarization, helping pilots maintain visibility of electronic flight displays, GPS units, and tablets without polarization interference or distracting windscreen patterns. Durable, shatter resistant polycarbonate lenses are drop ball tested for impact resistance. The hand-tooled, serial numbered black frame weighs 21.9 grams and features a 6 base decentered lens curve.
