This distinguished bust portrays Oliver Cromwell, the remarkable figure who rose from humble fen farmer to powerful Lord Protector of England.

The sculpture captures the essence of this polarizing historical character who fought against Charles I's Catholic influences, financial extravagance, and divine right claims. The intricately detailed base features symbolic elements of Cromwell's complex legacy: the execution block, distinctive Roundhead breastplate, military drum, the crown he refused, battle helmet, and charging cavalry—all representing his controversial journey as both military leader and champion of liberty in 17th century England.
